Vintage: Nehemiah Builds; Neh 4:1-18

After Agreeing with God, and praying for the things God wants, Nehemiah starts to rebuild the walls around Jerusalem! Will it be easy? Will it be hard? What does it look like when we find ourselves right in the middle of God's plan?

Vintage: Nehemiah Prays

This week we look at a man named Nehemiah. Nehemiah was a man burdened by the broken walls (and people) of Jerusalem. As a cup-bearer for the Persian King, it was not simple task to simply leave to rebuild the city. His brokenness led to prayer, which led to boldness. Listen as we see how he prayed and as we ask ourselves what it means to us.

Vintage: Seek the Welfare; Jeremiah 29

This week, we take a look at Jeremiah 29. Here, we find Jeremiah (a prophet to Judah) speaking to those exiled in Babylon. He is speaking on behalf of God, and giving those living in captivity instructions on how to live. In the passage we find amazing similarities between us Christ-followers and those who were in captivity in Babylon.

Today, we look at the amazing story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! We often think of this as being one of those stories that appeals just to kids, but it is RICH with wisdom on what it means to make God our one and only!

Vintage: David Sins. David Repents

Over the past few weeks, we have learned a great deal about David. From "ruddy" shepherd to victorious king, he has shown great faith and had great success. This week we will see David falter and sin. What does he do next? How does he respond? What can we learn from it?

Vintage: David Worships; 2 Sam 6

What does it mean to worship? Is it prescriptive or is a result of something else? In 2 Samuel 6, we see David worshiping and it sticks out! What does Worship look like for us?

Foundation and Disciplines; Matthew 7:24-27

We take a break today from our Old Testament series to talk through how Jesus closes the Sermon on the Mount. He has just given so much info on HOW we should live, and now He is letting us know that we can have a foundation that can withstand the rigors of life if we just HEAR and DO! But, how do we go about doing that?

Vintage: David and Goliath, 1 Samuel 17

We continue our "Vintage" series this week as we look at the classic account of when David met Goliath! The challenge with these super familiar passages is we often miss the details that lead up to the "high points." The goal today is act like we are hearing the passage for the first time!
